Why DanDaDan is the Best Anime of 2024

Now I know what y’all are thinking: “Dude, it literally just came out!” “Bro, you’re dick riding.” Yes, yes, I know, but hear me out. Dandadan is published by Shueisha and runs in Shonen Jump+. While it’s not in the traditional weekly print magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump, it is still part of the Shonen Jump family. Why is this important? Because Shonen Jump has very high editorial standards. It’s the reason we have such iconic animes like Naruto, Dragon Ball Z, One Piece, Bleach, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Hunter x Hunter. I can go on and on, but I think you get the point. As of the time I’m writing this, Dandadan has 168 chapters out on Viz Media. The hype around this anime from the manga readers is no joke. There’s a reason why we’ve been hearing nothing but good things about this anime before it even came out; that in itself should tell you something.

Laying Out My Case

Now, I shall lay out my case for the reasoning behind this bold conclusion I have stated. Most people think that accolades like “Anime of the Year” or even “Game of the Year” are completely consumer-driven when, in fact, there are some politics at play here. This doesn’t negate the fact that the anime—or even the game, to continue with my example—is indeed exceptional and deserves such praise. But I’m sure there are other titles in these genres that also deserve the same recognition. And that’s when politics come into play. Let’s face it: Shonen Jump is a multibillion-dollar company, and Dandadan is a very popular manga under its belt. There’s no way a company like Shonen Jump won’t invest as much as it can into this manga, making sure it gets the best animation and marketing possible. By doing so, it maximizes its potential while also having sway in the anime and entertainment publications—i.e., politics.

My Final Conclusion for My Case

These combined effects—from the manga’s popularity to Shonen Jump’s extensive quality control and inexhaustible amount of money for its marketing campaign—not to mention the sway it has in entertainment journals, creates the perfect recipe for success, or in this case, for Anime of the Year.
