This anime adaptation is based on the popular manga by HundredBurger, which debuted in February 2021. With four volumes already out, the story has built a strong fanbase for its quirky characters and fast-paced storytelling.
The anime is being produced by Studio Shaft, known for its visually striking series like Monogatari. Fans are eagerly awaiting how Shaft will bring this unique dynamic to life on screen.
What’s the Story About?
The series follows Satoko Kusagakure, a ninja on the run from her village, who crosses paths with Konoha Koga, a high school student with an unusual part-time job—she’s an assassin!
Satoko’s unique ninjutsu lets her transform objects, a skill that fascinates Konoha. In exchange for a place to stay, Satoko agrees to help clean up after Konoha’s assassination missions. Together, the unlikely pair faces danger, rival assassins, and plenty of chaotic moments, all while developing a bond that’s as heartwarming as it is unconventional.
